Back from Hiatus

It’s been well over a month since I posted anything on this blog.  When I started blogging, if I had told myself I’d go more than 30 days without posting something, I probably would have given up the endeavor.  But I’m glad I didn’t.

This hiatus was coupled with a long break from Facebook.  I temporarily deactivated my account because maintaining my profile was becoming a chore.  Added to that, I realized how reliant I had become on a silly social networking site for communicating with friends and family.  I also missed out on a lot of announcements, invites and general updates from some important people simply because I wasn’t on Facebook.

I’ll comment on this hiatus more in-depth soon.  As trivial as it sounds, I actually learned quite a bit during this break.  I’ve been back on Facebook for about 36 hours and I’m seriously considering getting back off.  It just… doesn’t seem worth my time right now (although, most people will only read this because they saw the link on Facebook).

But for now, this post is just to get the ball rolling again.  So, happy reading.
